It seems the problem exists with all sorts of OpenGL-specific tests, (including MSI Kombustor as under). CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_DOUBLE: 0īTW, what’s your observation on 2nd Gen IGPs (HD2K & HD3K) for these drivers? In addition to bugs I’ve mentioned in comments here CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_FLOAT: 1

CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_LONG: 1 CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_INT: 1 CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_SHORT: 1 CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_CHAR: 1 CL_DEVICE_MAX_CONSTANT_BUFFER_SIZE: 64KB CL_DEVICE_LOCAL_MEM_TYPE: Local (scratchpad) CL_DEVICE_GLOBAL_MEM_CACHE_SIZE: 2048KB CL_DEVICE_NAME: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_DOUBLE: 2 CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_FLOAT: 4 CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_LONG: 2 CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_INT: 4 CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_SHORT: 8 CL_DEVICE_PREFERRED_VECTOR_WIDTH_CHAR: 16 CL_DEVICE_MAX_CONSTANT_BUFFER_SIZE: 128KB CL_DEVICE_GLOBAL_MEM_CACHELINE_SIZE: 64 Bytes CL_DEVICE_NAME: Genuine Intel(R) CPU 2.20GHz CL_PLATFORM_VENDOR: Intel(R) Corporation Here is the OpenCL report from GPU Caps Viewer: Here is the complete list of all 143 OpenGL extensions: Compared to v2712/v2696, v2729 adds 11 new OpenGL extensions: V2729 is then the first OpenGL 4 driver (exact version: 4.0.0 – Build 9.) from Intel and exposes 143 OpenGL extensions (GL=127 and WGL=16).

This driver is intended for Windows 8 but the package contains also the Win7 64-bit driver.

You can download the HD Graphics driver v2927 (15.28. OpenGL 4 in the HD Graphics driver is not a big stuff for Intel, just a quick update… 😉 Yeah! The funny thing is that there’s no mention of the OpenGL 4 support in the release notes. I just tested the latest HD Graphics driver v2729 with my Ivy Bridge GPU and guess what, GPU Caps Viewer tells me that Intel has (silently?) added the support of OpenGL 4! Yes my friends, we can now run OpenGL 4 apps (with tessellation!!!) on Intel GPUs.
